We are seeking a dedicated Technical Administrator to join our dynamic technology team. This pivotal role will spearhead the rollout of software, workflows, and processes across the organization, ensuring seamless integration and adoption at all levels.A primary focus of this role will be on the administration of our Salesforce instance, where you will be responsible for its day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement. Working closely with the Development and Fundraising, Program Management, Product Delivery, and Marketing teams, you will help identify, develop and deploy new business processes.In addition, you will collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless integration of other technologies, such as Google Workspace, Slack, SpotDraft, and Asana into our processes and protocols to support and enable an effective workplace. Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and exceptional communication skills will be essential to drive the successful adoption and utilization of digital tools across the organization. This role is part technical project manager, part salesforce administrator, and 100% dedicated to our mission.Key ResponsibilitiesSalesforce Administration:Oversee the daily management of Salesforce, including routine checks and troubleshooting issues to ensure system reliability and performance.Customize Salesforce fields, page layouts, dashboards, reports, and workflows to tailor the platform to the specific needs of different teams within the organization.Evaluate and implement Salesforce updates and enhancements; managing and collaborating with external consultants or vendors when necessary to deliver larger scale projects and integrate advanced functionality.Project Management:Develop and execute project plans for the rollout of new software and processes, setting clear milestones and deadlines.Monitor project progress, adjust plans as needed to address challenges or changes in organizational priorities.Liaise with department heads and management to ensure project alignment with strategic goals and to secure necessary resources.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Regularly meet with team leaders from across the organization to assess their needs and feedback regarding Salesforce and other digital tools.Lead cross-departmental teams in brainstorming sessions to devise strategies that enhance workflow integration via technology solutions.Foster a collaborative culture that encourages the adoption of new technologies and continuous improvement in business processes.Technology Integration:Coordinate the technical setup and integration of tools like Google Workspace, Slack, SpotDraft, and Asana, ensuring they seamlessly fit into the company's IT ecosystem.Conduct systems compatibility tests and troubleshoot any integration issues to ensure that all technologies function cohesively.Assess and update security protocols for new software integrations to protect sensitive organizational data.Training and Support:Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for all users on Salesforce and other platforms, including custom user manuals and quick-reference guides.Offer ongoing support via regular 'office hours' and an internal ticketing system to quickly and accurately resolve any issues users encounter.Gather user feedback to continuously refine training materials and support strategies to enhance user experience and efficiency.Analysis and Reporting:Utilize Salesforce’s reporting features to generate insightful, actionable reports and dashboards that help track performance metrics and guide decision-makingConduct regular audits of data and system usage to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for system optimizationPresent findings in clear, detailed reports and presentations to senior management to inform them about the status and outcomes of technology implementationsStakeholder Communication:Maintain transparent communication channels with all team members and stakeholders, ensuring they are informed of project statuses, system updates, and potential impactsTranslate technical details and system changes into clear, understandable language for newsletters, meetings, and stakeholder reportsEngage with external stakeholders, such as technology providers and consultancy services, to ensure alignment and compliance with technical requirements and standardsDigital Strategy Contribution:Stay informed about emerging technologies and digital trends that could impact or benefit the organization’s mission and operational efficiencySuggest innovative solutions that align with the latest digital practices to keep the organization at the forefront of technological advancements in nonprofit and mental health fieldsParticipate in strategic planning sessions to input on how technology can solve complex challenges and drive the organization's goals forwardSkills Knowledge and ExpertiseProfessional Experience:3-5 years of experience in managing Salesforce in a similar organizational setting, with a track record of successful technology implementations and optimizationsProven experience in managing multiple projects, with the ability to oversee project lifecycles from conception through to completionExperience working with diverse teams and effectively communicating between technical and non-technical stakeholdersEducational Qualifications:A degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field preferredSalesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator, or Salesforce Certified Platform App BuilderPMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management)Technical Skills:Expansive knowledge of Salesforce including customizations, configurations, and integrationsSkills in data handling, reporting, and analysis using Salesforce reports and dashboardsExperience with software like Google Workspace, Slack, SpotDraft, Asana, or similar tools used for communication, document management, and project tracking.Experience integrating various technologies to streamline operations and improve efficiencyAdditional Competencies:Adept at identifying issues quickly and implementing effective solutionsCapable of leading projects and collaborating with various teams to foster a cooperative work environmentComfortable with a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and technology landscapeA strong alignment with the organization’s mission to protect emotional health and prevent suicide among teens and young adultsA willingness to stay updated with the latest in technology and certifications relevant to their rolePay Ranges / Location / Travel InformationPay Ranges:The range listed on this job posting is based on JED's compensation posting ranges. Salaries may be higher or lower depending on experience and geographic location.Location/Travel Information:Please note that this position is largely remote but will require retreat/business meetings at JED’s central office in NYC or other locations as designated by JED leadership. Additional travel may be required.
