OverviewAt Fleet Feet, our mission is to inspire the athlete in everyone, and the customer experience is our main priority. We are looking for a goal-orientated individual to join our team as an outfitter. This role will require you to work one-on-one with our customers, learn about their goals, analyze their biomechanics, and curate a product selection that meets their needs and goals. You will also be responsible for general retail tasks, such as stocking, cleaning, organizing, answering the phones, etcWe ask a lot of our employees. If youre looking for a job where you can clock in, do the bare minimum, and collect a paycheck every two weeks, this is not the job for you.Job DescriptionFleet Feet isnt a regular shoe store where youll just grab peoples sizes from the back room.This job will require you to work one-on-one with our customers, getting to know them and hearing their stories. We will train you to evaluate a customers biomechanics and foot pathology and curate a product selection that meets their needs and goals. We use this information to introduce customers to socks, insoles, shoes, and anything else they might need. And yes, you will be around bare feet.We expect team members to exhibit a warm, welcoming attitude toward gueststo smile and greet them as soon as they walk in, converse with all kinds of people, serve their needs, and always put them first. Our guests expect us to identify with their goals and aspirations. We celebrate every runner, walker, and individual who walks through our doors.During downtimes, you will be busy stocking, cleaning, and training. But when somebody walks in the door, your focus has to switch 100% to friendly service, even if you are behind in your other tasks.Things can get very busy here, and you may be asked to provide superior service to two guests simultaneously while more are waiting.
