Meat Cutter

Spork Pit BBQ located on the South Side is looking for a line worker to cut smoked meats. Currently, the position is in the kitchen however, we are remodeling the space and our food service will be cafeteria style. Customers will place orders directly with the meat cutter. We are looking for people with an outgoing personality who can interact with the customers and answer questions (about meat) on the spot.This concept is new here in Pittsburgh being a cafeteria style BBQ joint. (very popular in Texas) You will be out with the public, looking out on to our patio while working. (If you are familiar with the Double Wide Grill the new service line will be where the existing bar is now located)We are operating through the remodeling process but we are looking to start people in our existing kitchen so when the move to the FOH happens, we will be ready.We are looking for friendly, outgoing people who are responsible for their actions and maintain a professional appearance. This job is working face to face with the public and tips are part of the pay. Better service and vibrant personalities will earn more money through tips plus wages.Here is a sample photo. You would be cutting meat on a butcher block like this in front of customers.The pay with tips and wages will be in the range 0f $18-$22 per hour.
